What inspired you to blend luxury with sustainability at Brandable?
Victoria Maksheeva-Khassanova: "There is a story behind it. When being on my pre-Brandable project my colleague in Milan told me she had to repair her Louis Vuitton's bag which belonged to her grandmother. I thought at the time that it would have been amazing to keep something from my grandmother. The idea that clothes and accessories can be passed from family members to each other and even from generation to generation got so deep into my mind that I started thinking of creating an online boutique which would specialise in selling and one day producing apparel of good quality which could last longer, help create traditions and could be passed to family members even. That is why quality and sustainability in products is very important for me."
How do you choose brands that fit Brandable's vision?
Victoria Maksheeva-Khassanova: "Quality is not always the only factor when choosing partner brands. What is also important is a story behind the brand. In today's world of easy accessibility and availability of brands and products on the market, I feel that it should be interesting for our customers to know the story starting the brand that they buy or philosophy. So we want to sell high quality and sustainable brands that have interesting story to tell, sometimes to educate and guide our customers."
What makes Swiss craftsmanship stand out globally?
Victoria Maksheeva-Khassanova: "Swiss quality is a benchmark itself that is appreciated, recognized and acknowledged by the world. Locals in the industry proudly and strictly follow the traditions, they tend to produce the quality rather than quantity, they know the product will find and reach its consumer, work hard and appreciate their and other peoples time. We as a multi-brand store are aimed at keeping the perception of Swiss quality and carry it across the world investing into slow fashion rather than into mass production."
What's your go-to item from Brandable for everyday elegance?
Victoria Maksheeva-Khassanova: "I wear a lot of apparel from what we sell. My go-to depends on the season. As we now enter December and winter season, my go-to would be Brandable jumper and hats which we proudly produce ourselves. December is full of anticipation of upcoming festive season. In support of this I introduced into my wardrobe one piece of our capsule collection which is called Brandable December Jumper."
